Wiring harness issue, Drivers Side,

I found a issue with my 100 last night. There is a hole worn in the drivers side wiring harness back where the previous owner had installed an inverter.(in the Subwoofer Space)

I am really surprised I haven't seen any issues up to now. Only discovered it because I was adding some stuff and needed to access that area.

The hole has worn thru the jacket / tape and into the wires. This caused a aqua / silver stripe wire to burn up all the way back to the drivers side kick panel. The hole in the wiring harness is directly over the fuel door / vent hose.

At this point I do not know the full extent of the damage, will have to tear into it to see. I might be able to patch the harness if the damage isn't too extensive. Would prefer to replace that segment of harness but not sure how feasible that really is.

Can someone send me a link to download the wiring schematic for a 2000 Landcruiser please?

Any suggestions where I can get a Driver's side wiring harness ? Auto yards etc. Suggestions on best way to approach this?

Fixing it is cheap, DIY. Open the harness up carefully, fix the problem with correct wire, proper crimps/solder, and heat shrink, wrap it back up. It's inside, so you don't have to worry about it being completely water-tight.

You will pay $$$ for a harness from a auto breaker, if they even mess with it. They can't guarantee an old wiring harness, it's labor-intensive to get it all out in perfect shape... if that even happens, old connectors tend to break. That is assuming they even keep the vehicle around whole. Too much labor for too little return. If you were thinking about doing that, I wouldn't try to sell that over the phone, would go to the yard in person. Smaller yard might let you pull it yourself. Big breaking yard, no way they will let you out in the yard.

My $.02 - fix it yourself and don't worry about it again.
