For running power wires up to the lights:

I just completed this and overall it was pretty simple. The hardest part was getting the first cable through the firewall due to all the flex of the rubber grommet. Running the cables through the tailgate was simple but required patience.

These youtube videos basically explain everything:

I am trying to install an EcoFlow Alternator Charger by running the wiring through the same firewall grommet but it’s too large (two 8AWG wires inside a protective woven sheath) to fit through the spare driver side firewall grommet entry point on the right side of the main wiring harness… I’m a bit spooked about damaging wiring while trying to pull the wiring through or damaging the grommet that can only be bought with a full harness… so has anyone enlarged the auxiliary hole on the right side of the driver side firewall grommet?

I was thinking about using a scalpel and just opening one side of the auxiliary grommet channel so that it can flex open, and then resealing it with gasket maker after everything is fed through. Has anyone else tried this?
