Do you guys know if you can use wired CarPlay in the 600? I know of course we have wireless, but I can't seem to get wired to work, and I haven't found a definitive answer if it's actually available or not. I know the USB-a port shows data, but can't get wired CarPlay to work with it.

I've never used wired CarPlay. The wireless works really well 95% of the time. If it fails after a phone call or other glitch, just press the volume knob for a few seconds until the infotainment resets, and you'll be back in business.

Oh, that's how you do it. I just wait til the wireless gods fixes it or until I park and turn off the car. Haha. Thanks.

Yeah, it's not that I'm having issues with the wireless connection. I'm trying to use one of those AI car boxes that lets you play things like Youtube and Netflix on the screen, but they all require wired Carplay or Android auto to work. It works in my wife's car, but hers only has wired Carplay. I assumed the LX has the option for both wired and wireless, but it's looking like it doesn't...unless I'm doing something wrong.

Never tried wired car play but have tried MANY of the AI boxes. Every one has been garbage, except the one linked below.

- Fast, responsive UI
- Split screen, so you can Waze and Flix simultaneously
- Flawless phone connectivity through Bluetooth, including calls with WhatsApp.
- Can download any app through Google Play store, thanks to the 128 Gb built in memory (WhatsApp, TikTok, Amazon Music, Amazon Video, etc)
- Swype works
[Edit] - Storage is expandable with microSD
- You can add a SIM card and basically make it its own wireless device

The drawback is the price tag at $200. I went through almost double this amount before finding a good one. All the others were in the trash within 24 hours of receipt.

A very (VERY, VERY) nice set of side effects with this unit is:

1. Latency is eliminated.
2. It seems as though the ML sub amp doesn't decrease power after 15 seconds of heavy bass now
3. The volume can be turned up substantially louder

Thanks, I already have an AI box that works great in my wife's car...just can't get it working in the LX. I know they all require wired Carplay, and I have a feeling that the LX 600 only offers wireless.

LX definitely supports wired carplay. My wife's phone isn't paired with my car so she plugs it in to use carplay when she drives my 600. Make sure you are using the right USB port in the dash. There is a USB C that is only for charging and a USB A port that is for carplay.

OK, that’s good to know. I definitely use the USB-C port, but it doesn’t seem to be picking anything up. I wonder if it’s because it’s already paired with a different car. That might be it actually.
