Hey all...
Developed a unique problem that I have never had before. I ran outta wire in my HH 187, and a small piece of wire broke off INSIDE the liner and I CAN NOT get it out.

ANY suggestions?
I actually went as far as to pull the liner OUT of the sleeve in hopes that might free something up.
Ive tried running some free welding wire and tapping it through, but it seems to be pretty lodged.

This really F's up my weekend for working on the rig!

Thanks for any suggestions.

Keith

Trying to find someone who you can buy a new liner from this weekend doesn't look good..:frown:

Maybe Charles has a trick up his sleeve and will pipe in..

Yeah man!
Seems to always work that way doesnt it?
Ah well, what can you do?
Just hoping that someone will have a trick that I can use to dislodge it so I can work.

I don't have any proven ways to remove the wire.

Is this a piece of flux core wire? I think it would be very difficult or almost impossible to remove.

If it is a piece of solid wire, you might be able to get some .035 wire and try to push it out while gently bending the liner. Need to remove the liner first.

I know your situation stinks. I always have spare mig guns, liners and other parts so I'm never down.

ACTUALLY....I FAWKING GOT IT!:bounce::bounce2:
After I put it away last night, the manipulating of the liner must have allowed it to dislodge a bit...So..I kept it going till it stuck again, I manipulate the liner a bit, tap it with my pliers...jam the free wire down tap it till it moved and just repeated this process a few times till I got a little 2 in kinked piece of wire came out of the feed end!

So its possible!:hillbilly:

I reassemble the liner and casing, ran the new wire through and its good!

Good news, mind over matter..

Now if only I could find someone open who has an a/c schrader valve for the wife's truck tomorrow..
