Hi y'all, my CEL came on after I had my transmission changed, the codes were for both rear o2 sensors. After replacing those and the code came right back, I dug deeper and found an issue with the wire harness.

There are three wire harness connectors directly behind the engine. I had to lay my entire self over the engine to get to them. The connector on the passenger side is butchered. It was barely held together, I gently pulled on it and it came right out. I tried to clip it back but it doesn't clip. It is all mangled on its face, it looks like it got crushed by the mechanic who was replacing the transmission... (he, of course, denies this. Sigh)

The only place I can find this connector is from china, ali express: US $15.25 5% OFF|5 Sets 11 Pin car waterproof connector 6189 0375 harness connector plug DJ7118 4.8 2.3 21|Connectors| - AliExpress

The FSM calls it "EB3 Dark Grey, Engine Wire and Transmission Wire (On the Transmission)"

Does anyone know where I can get one of these that won't take 2 months to get here?

Does anyone have experience changing these? I figure I'll buy a terminal removal tool to help.

Thanks!

the repair wires for 11240 are.. 82998-12480 for the center big ones, and for the smaller ones, 82998-12440, smaller ones are 2.3 and big ones are 4.8 teminals.

looks like 3 small ones and one big from your pic? I know that sucks. I'd hate to be in your shoes. I have 2.3 on me but no 4.8
That 12440 (small) sticks in my mind for some reason. I think it's the same as the display terminals that I use. I could make you some if you really are in a bind and they're 20$ each at toyota.

shouldn't be a problem removing the ones that aren't melted or mangled but your going to have to cut some maybe. Any pic tool, a 1mm flat bar, big paper clip etc. will get those sizes out. -Torch tip cleaner etc. Actually, if you dig the white insert out, I think they just pull out.
look for the connector manual posted somewhere. it's not attached to most threads because it's over 7MB

Were you able to replace the plug with engine in place? or did you have to drop the transmission?

I cannot seem to get good access from bottom or top.

Just as a heads up - it also looks like your bell housing bolt is not tightened down all the way. Visible on bottom left hand Side of the image you posted.

i lay 2x 12 lumber across the fenders and reach down. I'm about to do it again to install a trans dipstick guide tube. It's rough to say the least.
Also today I looked up prices on the 3 connector tranny harness, (3 versions) they are all cheap, sub 175usd.

There should be some numbers cast into the connector see if you can locate (and read those).

Add the prefix (90980) to get the part number (if available separate from the harness).

Ok
I’m trying to disconnect the two on the left now and having issues.
got the left one, the middle one is confusing me
