I did 2 gage welding wire for mine, works great. I do plan on replacing my ACR with one I can self jump with and that can handle winching loads.

The ACR won't handle winching loads? I guess I didn't know that. I'm confused. If my winch is hooked to the second battery how does that effect the ACR.

Its only rated for 120A a winch will pull up to 500A not sure if it will try and pull power from the other battery but I want to be able to combined them with a switch so I can self jump and have both batteries hooked up for winching.

Just add a high amp solenoid or switch to the wiring that allows the ACR to be bypassed.

So am I correct in thinking that one of the dual circuit plus battery switches would be a plus. And one would want to turn it to combine batteries when winching.

buy the 7622 its worth the extra money. I have the blue sea 7622 ACR with the remote switch as well as the lockout/self jump switch on top. The thing is great and its a magnetic latch relay which can handle 500 amps. I have it wired with 2 gauge welding wire as well with a 100 amp fuse at each battery.
