Wiper Blade Arm Screw Size?

Does anyone know what size the screws are that attach the little j-clips to the wiper arms? I'm having a helluva time replacing the rusty stock ones. They're not metric 3 x 0.5 or 4 x 0.7 and not 6-32 or 5-40. Might be 6-40 but my hardware stores in town don't have those for me to check. Might also be a metric 3.5 x 0.6? Or some mystery size?

And no, I'm not going to buy a new $62 wiper arm if I can spend $1 on new machine screws.

sorry if this doesn't meet your expectations but....just run a similar screw in it...

I tapped mine out for a 6-32 and put stainless socket head screws in them.

Go to Napa and buy new wiper blades, they come with the screws!!!!!!! Also make sure you use anti-seize on the screws, or you will be sorry later.

Turns out Toyota has 'em, or at least some sort of screw related to the wipers, so I'll find out tomorrow if those are indeed the right ones. Otherwise I guess I'll tap up to 6-32s. Darn gotta buy new tools

Yes, I know exactly what you are speaking about. And again the Napa blades are the best with brand new screws. You must ask the Napa people for the "direct-fit" blades. How much is the dealer hosing you for the screws?


And again use anti-seize on the screws.

It's just 91 cents a pop, so I'm gonna grab four. If for some reason they're the wrong size, though, the NAPA setup sounds pretty good. Thanks, man.

So, just got a bag o' ten from Toyota, black with little lock washers. Still have no idea what thread size they are, but they're Toyota part no. 90099-00913 for future reference. Now I'll be good for at least the next 27 years.

Better hurry, though, Toyota only has 11,000 left in stock...

Confirmed the machine screw size is M3.5x0.6
