Hi everyone!

Brand new Sequoia owner here. Last week we picked up a 2015 Limited in grey and I couldn't be happier. We’ve been looking for the right Sequoia for almost a year now. This thing is FUN!

It came with Bridgstone Dueler H/L tires installed on the stock 20” wheels and we are looking for new tires and wheels now that it’s winter up here in Ontario Canada. I was looking at the Ko2’s but I think I want to go with a set of Blizzak DMV-2’s for the winter months. Any opinions?

Is there a better suited tire for this truck for winter driving conditions? I prefer the blizzaks as we have used them for years on our cars.

I’m hoping for a nice look but I’m not sure what ratio/specs to go with. I’m thinking of picking up some 18” wheels but since the blizzaks aren’t as aggressive looking as the ko2’s or wildpeaks, not sure how wide or how much sidewall to go with. I’m hoping to be at least flush with the side of the truck but not sure which offset to go with on the wheels.

I figure 33” would be a good fit, they seem to be the max on stock before rubbing but i guess that also depends on width as well.

No lift yet, not sure if going with a level kit or actual lift kit but want to go up a bit for sure. Likely in the spring summer.

I tend to overthink and over research things but pictures can go a long way, haven't found many pics of sequoias with winter set ups.

Any input is appreciated!

Nice looking truck! Personally I’d get the best actual winter tire you can. Stay away from the AT’s.
So you plan on having separate winter then summer tires?
I have a set of this brand, not this winter tire but these are highly rated.

I run Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV. They are studded on both the edges and center of the tire. They seem to grip very well on both icy side roads and doing highway speeds in the snow.

Thanks! I do plan on having a set of winters and a set of summer/all seasons. I prefer Blizzaks, just not sure the specs to go with. I guess the look I'm after is a wider stance so I should consider the offset of the wheels as well as the width of the tire. I know snows are better on the thinner side but I'd like to go a little on the wider side. Coming from an Elantra, it's hard for me to get an idea of what ratio to go with.

The stock wheels are so tucked in, I'd like them to be a bit closer to flush with the edge of the truck and wheel spacers seem to be a bad choice so I would likely need new wheels to achieve this. Not 100% sure if I want to run a 18" or a 20" wheel. I'm thinking a similar set up that's on the TRD pro models, at least as far as wheel and tire sizing.

275/65R18 or 275/65R19 should fit but what offset should I go with on the wheels so that they are flush or closer to flush with the side of the truck?

I will look into your link, thanks!

Don't think we can run studded but it would be nice.

Thanks, we love it! It's grey interior with 100,000kms. Ontario, Canada km/s though...

Looking to purchase the TRD pro grille parts as well as some OEM black overlay emblems. Not sure who to reach out to up here but I've just emailed one of our local Toyota dealers. When I went in person the parts guy didn't seem to want to sell them to me or was having issues looking up part #'s. I think it's because I told him my year, I should have said it was a 2018-2020. IS there any difference in the TRD pro grille from 2018-2020?

I used the part numbers yo provided in the ExitOffroad thread so thanks again for that. Might have to go aftermarket for the overlays but need to focus on wheels and tires right now.

I'd stick with the factory 20" wheels but they are so tucked in.

I believe 2020 was the first year for the Pro grille.

You are correct, 2018-2019 are only TRD sport, which I like but haven't seen on a 2008-2017. I think I prefer the Pro either way.

I’ve got a 2nd Gen Tundra.
These guys are really an organized forum and I’m sure you’ll get more broad based support.

I'm S. Equoia over there! I will dig around there as well, thanks!

Think I’m just going to go with my stock 20” wheels over the winter. Looking to order some 275/55R20 Blizzaks or should I go slightly taller at 275/60R20?

Might try some 1.25” Spidertrax to give it a wider stance, any better options?

Looks like the Blizzaks at 275/55R20 and 275/60R20 are so far on back order I won’t be getting them this winter.
So now I’ve defaulted back to a set of ko2’s but I would rather put them on 17” or 18” wheels.

+40 is the look I’m going for but as you all likely know, there aren’t many options at that offset on the 5x150 BP. +35 with certain tires pretty much looks like +40 and since I don’t think I can justify the price of the dakarcorse unless there are deals I’m not seeing. Some of the AlphaEquipt. look pretty great and offer a few options at +35. OZ rally raids are nice as well... Being up in Canada doesn't seem to help either. The hunt continues!
