Is there any restriction on speed in this mode? ThanksJust a note that the “2nd“ button on the transmission is the bomb for snow driving, 7-8” here today make a big difference!!
It’s a 2nd start button that resets after every time you start from a dead stop. No speed restriction because you literally have to be at 0 to engage it.Is there any restriction on speed in this mode? Thanks
Odd in my ‘13 LX I can turn it on and off any time at any speed and it stays on until I turn the truck off. It’s a 2nd start button that resets after every time you start from a dead stop. No speed restriction because you literally have to be at 0 to engage it.

And yes to all, I use it often all winter.
Your understanding is correct. We've been in 2nd start on the Cruiser and LX for a couple of weeks. My understanding is that it allows you to begin travel in 2nd gear to avoid slippage from the torque of 1st gear, which is why its helpful in slippery conditions. Once you begin moving it performs no function. At least that is my understanding.
