Ever since I put my SSO front bumper on, I’ve been wanting to move the washer bottle.

As you can see it hangs down pretty low. I e looked at a few options, but at Fall Crawl I found my solution. A fj40 washer bottle from

The first thing was to remove the old one.
Next I removed the power steering fluid reservoir and welded the washer bottle bracket to the power steering fluid bracket.

A coat of paint and put it back in place.
Next I chased the wires from the old pump.

One cool thing is the old wires and new wires have never changed bile and blue/yellow.

I shrink wrapped and taped the wires all the way to the pump.

At this point I could add a T in the washer line to run the rear washer. The factory set up runs two pumps front and rear. I chose to delete the rear because I never use it.

So I just hooked the washer line up and filled with fluid.

Time to try it and to my surprise the pump seemed more powerful than the original.
Everything worked as should.

Well done bud, I do use my rear so I guess doing this it would spray front and back at the same time.

Great write up. Does your washer fluid level indicator stay on with the new reservoir that doesn't look to have a level indicator?
