Has anyone had to replace the windshield on their 200 series LC? Prices in my local market, Denver, are through the roof. Best I have been quoted is $1,100, have had numbers as high as $2,000. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Insurance company doesn't offer a windshield coverage option, would have to file under comprehensive which will then increase my rates. Right now I don't know what else to do but grab my ankles........

1,100 for that windshield? Dang...that's a good deal! Try buying a Lexus windshield and then you really find out how much these things can cost :)

Remember, front windshields are a major safety component. Have a certified glass shop do the install and don't drive the vehicle for 24 hours...not some mobile company the insurance company recommends.

A Toyota windsheild should be at Toyota spec if done at the dealer. Any aftermarket windshield is just that, an aftermarket windshield and that could lead to an install done wrong.

I have a friend with 2008 LX570 who is having issues right now because of wind noise, he installed an aftermarket one and can get the shop to eliminate the wind 100%

Great, you replaced it and now back to the same old. I think I'll live with mine through the winter and then decide what to do. Hate to get rid of OEM glass, maybe I get another crack fixed and see if I can limit any further cracking. I got no good explanation of why the high price, I guess it just goes with having a LC.
