This is a really random question, but I just installed an amateur radio antenna on my windscreen, that has an outside element and an inside element. I put it high on the passenger side, and the instructions say that it can't be used on a section of window with tint. I've done some reading and it seems that the only tint that can affect it is tint using metallic pigments.
So, does anybody know if they use metallic pigments for the tint at the top of the windscreen? It is a 2000 LX with bronze colored tint. Seems to be working okay but I don't have the cable I need for an antenna swr meter yet.
