Thought I'd post some pics of the window screens I got from Mot. They are excellent quality and work well. I kept them in place for 2 months through the summer. You can easily open and close the window while they are in place. The ones I have are folding so they're a bit more compact. You simply slide them in the window frame from the inside. There is a spacer at the bottom that is held in place by velcro and fills in the gap that will be at the bottom of the screen. The only ones currently available are for the second row windows. Mot is looking into the availability of rear sliding window screens and possibly front window plus sunroof screens. The curtains shown are what I had made and slide along a bungee cord.

The pics show the screens - one fully open the other folded closed.

Outside view.

Are these still available? Nice curtains! :D

How much?

Mike,

Nice pics.

Not having done the screen installation myself it's nice to see how it works. ;)

I ripped Mike off by having to charge him something like $100 (was my cost of getting a set at retail here). But as I'm trying to work something out with the manufacturer, I'm hoping that I would be able to lower the cost to still-not-that-cheap $75-$80-ish for the 2nd-row window screens.

The quality is good as it is not supposed to get warped with heat, etc... (Can't remember if it was made of polycarbonate(sp) or ABS(?). One was better under heat, etc... I was told.

Anyway, I'll need to find a way to get my hands on an 80 with 3rd-row sliding windows so I can have them made as well (mine are fixed).

Anyway, HTH's.

Mot :)

Well worth the price if you want to sleep in a bug free environment with the windows down. I think they're polycarbonate because they're very flexible. But hell they could just as well be ABS for all I know. I had them in place through out the summer and there has been no warpage. Looking forward to getting a lot of use out of them this summer too. I think Mot said they're bear proof too.

I'm not sure if I ever said that.

I certainly wouldn't want to be held responsible if you got munched by a Grizzly or a lunatic. ;)

alright Bear proof, you got a sale:flipoff2:
any news on the third row screans?
Man Mot you get hold of the coolest stuff.

I'm willing to get in on the Mot bear insurance.

Steven,

I did finally get a pair of OEM 3rd-row window screens, but am parting with them for someone on Mud who had inquired of them a long, long time ago. :)

I can ask him if they're bear proof though as I think he is out in the wild quite often.

And oh, I will look into offering an insurance service for those bear attacks while using the screens. :D

3rd row screens would be useful when sleeping in the truck at night.

Any chance of locating more 3rd row screens?

Hey guys I got some curtains for the cruiser a while ago and love them. Good thing about them is you can see thru them, but people can't see in.

you can see my updates for cruiser curtains

I'm hoping to get them made by the same shop that makes the 2nd row in the future.

I'll keep you posted!
