I haven't noticed this in my 97. And I haven't had anyone mention it.

Heat from the switch could indicate the contacts in the switch are dirty or corroded?

One product I've had very good results using for stuff like this is called Deoxit.
Yeah, I emphatically recommend Deoxit. I suspect a good cleaning of all relay, switch and fuse contact could have a dramatic effect for a lot of folks and it's what I would try before ordering a fix like this. I don't mean that as a shot against your product: it seems like everyone who has ordered it is happy, I just think there's a lot of value in exhausting the maintenance solutions first.

One of these days I should actually measure a before and after on some circuits with an older untouched rig and a multi-meter, just to see how much juice is being turned into heat in the fuse boxes.

My Window Rocket showed up this morning and is now installed. Wow, over night delivery by USPS (ordered yesterday morning) which is unheard of in my location. To be fair, I live in the same state it shipped from. And wow, it definitely fixed all my slow windows. Good and helpful instructions to refer to are included. Took me 45 min since I've lost all my contortionist skills.:inpain: My Scheelmann driver's seat did help since it adjusts considerably further back than the OEM seat, allowing better access under the dash. Thanks @PIP for this very useful and effective upgrade to our 80's!

Got mine after 2-3 days in the mail...took 20 minutes to install...night and day difference! Thanks for a great plug and play aftermarket goodie for our old rigs!

I do have a little chatter with the windows in the channels, so a tube of Sil-Glide is on the way today!

Thanks @PIP 🦀

Just when I think I am done spending money on my truck, you bastards drag me right back in :flipoff2:.... this looks awesome. Just ordered mine.

I installed my window rocket a few hours ago. Took about 30 min. It simply works. The windows are about the same speed as my 2020 Tundra. Well worth the $$ for me. Just waiting on the hydro boost kit to be back in stock. ;) Thanks for developing the product!

This is something i may consider.
For the sceptics out there, i may have removed the window regulators 5 times in each door so far in my truck.
The last time, i got tired and here is what i did.
-New window Runs (4)
-New Dorman Window Motors (4)
-Cleaned the contacts inside the master switch
-Used electrical terminal cleaning fil for all motor plugs
-Windows properly adjusted
-Finally lubed with silicon spray

And Guess What.
The window speed went from Bad to Okay.
When i First got the truck, i tried everything and finally decided to replace all those parts.
I think this window rocker dc-dc thing is cheaper than 4 new motors and 4 window runs...

If you’re needing another person telling you it works awesome, here it is. Fast shipping, easy install, and works great. Significantly faster.

This!

My similar experience is what inspired the product.

I vote some help for the door locks. Driver's, shotgun and tail gate locks work fine. 2nd row doors almost never lock or unlock with the remote or master switch, especially in cold weather even after fix attempts. Always need to check all doors to verify. Saw a video where host took the door solenoids apart to clean and did something else, but ended up sounding like the same rabbit hole as the windows. Need a "Lock Rocket"!

Very early in the Window Rocket development I put higher voltage to the fuse that feeds the power windows. The door locks are fed by same fuse.

The door locks do NOT respond well to increased voltage.

Thanks for that info! Sounds like you chased that "rabbit".
