winch questions

ok...so i just got my bumper modified and installed onto my truck but i have a few questions that im not sure about...i havnt really used a winch before and havnt really looked that closely at friends so hopefully you can help me out with this

where does the power in go on a 8274, mine is attached directly to the left side of my top left solonoid, the cover has been jammed on and broken. i plan on making a new cover but dont want to have this problem

what kind/size of cable do i put on this thing, rope is not an option too $$$ for my student budget. aircraft cable is not meant to be spooled and un-spooled, its pretty stiff and not advisable to use it. so....then what?

last question....in cab or remote switch for the controls? if i go in cab what is the point of running the extra 2 solonoids? the current is already going through solonoids on the winch, all im doing is re-locating where the controls are run to....right?

this is where my power in goes to...but it must be wrong (not surprising in the least)

thats where the power hooks too. Two control line in and two control line out you need all four. Warn lists 150' 5/16th will fit in the spool I put 125 on mine so a cross pull will still have room on the spool. I use my in cab control 90% of the time but have needed to use the remote before when Ive been out by myself. Industrial supply store will usally have a better price on cable or drilling supplier or boat supplier if you have near by one
