So in other words when you buy a part from Toyota the raw materials are more or less sourced worldwide. .. with the trust placed first in the freind network, next in the cheapest suuplier that meets spec, and third in grandpa Toyota's old friend who spits in his hand and shakes on it. I like #3 the best myself.

As do they have the best spring steel which is why it was so disappointing when ARB moved their spring plant to the orient.
I live in a copper mining town in Arizona. BHP is one of the big four players here. BHP's spring steel from Oz was highly sought after
when I was involved in the off road racing industries in the 80's. Back when race trucks still had leaf springs. Second choice
was a manufacturer in Japan
