I worked out a deal on an older Ox winch and home-made bumper down south. It was the right price and the guy's gonna hang onto it for me while I make payment and delivery arrangements. I'm gonna see if I can get Danny to bring it this way. Maybe when I finally get it up here some of you Fabrication/welder types can give me some ideas on how to dress it up and make sure it is sturdy enough to do the job. You can see it if you search "for sale" classifieds for Ox superwinch. :meh::)

Yep, every time I'm on here I can't leave until I've peeked at the classifieds. It's a Bad thing to be on here alot. But a good kind of Bad! :p
 
Nice. Shouldn't be that bad to fab up..... not me though!
 
It looks like it may just bolt up to the tow hook mounts which would be super easy. Probably need a little reinforcement but not much. Your Cruiser is going to be bad-ass before you know it Chris!
 
My 5600lb 55 was buried in snow and I stalled my Warn 10k and blew the bead off the tire because I wasn't winching perfectly straight. That winch plate was installed using my 110 Hobart welder!
 
Oh Yeahh.....when I said to give me ideas on how to beef/dress up the new bumper I forgot to mention I need YOU to also do the work! ;):D
 
a pic of my buddys pathy. couldnt drag it through either hole.

in fact i dint get a pic, but ended up winching gabes runner up thie spot. fxxxing runner was dragging both axles like a dozer, there was dirt/mud piling over the top of the front housing as it came through that hole.

i am begining to thing the hole is near 8 feet deep in the bottom.

when its dry.

the hole is not drivable anymore. at least not without two lockers and a bit of throttle.

when the 37s are heavily dragging diff, you have a problem.
 
Eeeeeew! My rig would get too dirty. Reminds me of an old girlfriend, a slimy wet hole that I just kept revisiting for occasional thrills. After awhile they all need drying out....:p
