Will I need to pull my oil filter during the timing belt service?

I’m due for an oil change and am in the process of aggregating tools and parts for the timing belt service which is planned for May.

I’d love to get the oil change out of the way now but have read that removing the oil filter makes access to the fan bracket bolts easier. For those that have done the TB service, would you delay the oil change to improve access?

Thanks!

IIRC, yes - is easier if you have the filter out of the way. I don't know if absolutely necessary though. If it were me, wait and do the oil at the same time as the tb/waterpump.

Will make it easier - I didn't do it but will next time.
