Im waiting on a 2.5" dobinson lift to come in for my wife's gx470. I already installed the rear lift due to leaking airbags that could wait no longer. There will be no new upper control arms at this time but Im thinking the 10.5" width may be good enough to clear these tires once I lift the front of course. She still has stock gx470 wheels. Thoughts?

I run 255/80R17 at stock height and OEM wheels with no rub. The front inner fender was already moved forward, the lower control arm was already maxed out for caster and the running board removed. I think the running board just need a little chop on the inside to clear.

33X10.50R17 Kenda would be slightly wider and the sidewall are a lot more aggressive than my tire but with stock +25 wheel it should be fine. I add 1" spacer to mine after 2" lift and it still does not rub.

Im going to have to work with factory running boards. She wont let me take them off. She isnt too keen on me trimming anything either but I guess it would depend on where exactly I had to cut. Which tires are you running?

You only need to trim the inside of the running board. The one closest to body mount.

I am running Toyo Open County AT2. The sidewall are very mild.
