Had to make a run down to the Valley today, and went through Wicky.....
Anyone know of any trails in the area of the Joshua trees?

There is one in the Wells book that is near Wickenburg. Can't recall the name but it sounded interesting. I believe it has a lot of wash crossings so it could be a little iffy this time of year. Not sure if it's near the Joshua trees. Post up if you do a run out there it's pretty close to me.

Howdy! I have run all over the north side of Wicky, and there are tons of trails all over. Heavy mining area. Most of the Joshua trees I remember are closer to Bagdad. My nephew lives there. I will check with him on trails up in that area. Beware!! There is an abundance of hood ornaments in the area. Several years ago, I picked up a rather large one. 600 Yamaha, I think. Looong story....... John

I have been to Wickenburg a few times...the box canyon is pretty cool...very sandy and a lot of shallow water...I would head out there if a group wants to get together....I am close to the area...I've taken a few pretty rough roads and hill climbs but they were just random spots we found while driving on dirt roads...

Thanks again for the continued updates.
One of these days, I've gotta learn to wheel further than a 50 m radius from the garage! hehe
In a way, I guess that's just a side benefit of living in small town AZ.

:whoops:

Did some buttmonkey try to drive over that Chevy? Looks pretty well vandalized, I wonder if it was stuck out there, or abandoned on purpose.

maybe in a couple of weeks....headed off to Ouray this week...Did you just go there and really was no water...I have been there in the middle of the summer and there was always water...atleast 6-12 inches deep and pretty wide in some spots..

...i ran it this morning. above the gate there was no water at all. ran
the wash all the way up above stanton town trail and it was bone dry.

The Chevy looks like it got there when there was water, it'd be a PITA to get it that stuck. Prolly a theft and abandon.

I've never seen Box that dry either. Was that before the monsoon showed up?

Looks about normal too me. I've seen it with much more water, but not really any less..
