Looking for ideas as to why my passenger side low beam won't light up.

Back story: I plugged in some 35w HID ballasts and bulbs to the low beam and it worked fine. Didn't work on one of the fog lights though.

I wanted more light so I got some cheap 55w ballasts and bulbs. I plugged in the PS bulb and ballast and used electrical grease on the connectors and around the bulbs o ring to create a good water tight seal.

I turned on the truck then flipped on the headlights. It fired up then stopped. I unplugged the OEM cable from the ballast and flipped it over to see if that'd work. I think I saw a spark from where that ground cable on the fender bolts.

Now the regular halogen bulb won't work. I tried different bulbs and different fuses in the underhood relay fuse box. Is there another fuse somewhere? Any Ideas?

I'm going to switch to the retrofit sources kit once I fix this.

Yes, but I prefer the Morimoto ones :) The quality is mind blowing...separate ground points, a relay for each ballast, and when you run the cables right, you can't tell it's aftermarket. The relay cubes are sealed, so if you mount them upside down the relays won't fill with water and become useless. I have mine mounted upside down to test reliability. I have yet to kill one

Yup. I already talked to Nick about them. Calling them on monday when they're back from SEMA.

I think i blew a fuse or relay for the PS DRLs. I noticed tonight that when switching to high beams, the PS high beam only lights up half power and the PS low beam not at all. Going to plug in different relays and fuses tomorrow if I can leave work before midnight for a change.

what happened to the matchbox projectors? Will they be available again?

I have a 2000 lx 470 and installing 35w hid lows, highs and fog. I started on the lows and unplugged oem bulb and put in hid and plugged the ground and positive in and the light came on for half a second and doesn't turn on now. Is green wire positive and black wire is ground, right?

Can't answer your question about what color is what, but I advise you to NOT change your high beams to HID. Go ahead with lows and fogs, but leave the highs alone. Because HID's take a few seconds to "warm up", you won't be able to properly flash your high beams to signal other drivers. It will also cause undue stress to the ballasts if you do so often. And if they're cheap Ebay plug 'n play ballasts, they will be toast in no time.
