There were a number of discussions on this when the software change occurred.
Clear your browser cookies, clear your browser cache. Then restart your browser. Be SURE you've got all the updates/plugins updated for your system too.
I gave up on Firefox years ago, but know members who still like it.
I've been on the road since October (got home late last night) and have been relying on wifi connections from various rest stops, hotels, etc...even hotels and random restaurants in Baja...and had zero timeouts or issues related to the server and connections. I never use the APP, but regularly use my Chrome browser on my phone and access just fine as well.
My "ad load" is the same at what a newly registered members would see, and if there was an issue there, I'd catch/correct since those delays drive me nuts as well. Issues DO happen, but generally speaking I'm on it quickly.
We could have stayed on the old software. Or perhaps on a mailing list. Or skipped the internets entirely and stayed with magazines and rotary phones. This software is a MAJOR upgrade with regards to security, features, capabilities and database (and honestly, a company I trust to continue development and listen to their customers). Additionally, last month included major hardware upgrades: 2U server, additional/faster HDD's, major memory increases, etc.
