....wired?

I tried to pop the tab out to install a light switch and it's got wires attached to it.

???

sometimes toyota puts a dead connecter in the back of the knockouts. the connecter is for something optional that isnt on on your truck, its just in the knock out to kind of clean up all the loose connecters. dont worry about it its not hooked up to anything

+1, you can just let it lay behind the switch panel after you put your light switch in it's place.

does anyone know what was optionally planned to go there from toyota?

This is supposed to be the locations.

(Top row, left to right):

Roof Lights
Rear Diff Lock
A-TRAC
Sub-Woofer

(Bottom row, left to right):

Front AUX Lights
115V Power Inverter
Back-up/Parking Sensor
Optional OEM Security System

holmanm,
This is a little of subject, but how do you like that husky? Do you ride/race it? Back in the day I had a WR250 and loved that bike.Hopefully next spring I'll be looking to get a vintage husky. Right now i'm leaning toward an '82' 420 auto.

Happy trails

I love it. I haven't rode it in years. I used to ride at off road parks but after I tore my knee up playing baseball several years ago I stopped riding off road. I have had several offers for it but I just like knowing I have it in case I get a wild hair, but for now I stick to the street bike and the FJ for a little off roading.

I'm 6'-5" and a little over 200 lbs back when I rode it (now a little over 300 lbs) so it was a perfect bike for me, a 250 always felt a little small.

Good luck with finding what you want.
