Has anyone got an idea of the premier supplier of hubcentric wheel spacers online? Product , customer service ... shipping costs etc ?

Damn that's cheap! Do you know if they are hubcentric or not? Either way good price.

I'll check but I figure either way it doesn't matter. yes all toyota wheels are lug centric but the only thing that seems to matter is the balance. all I can figure is that a hub centric spacer may not center perfect and cause some shimmy. for the price of the ebay spacers, i'll try em.

what is the safety issue with spacers? I have heard they are illegal in Austrailia and for some reason I have it in my head that they are unsafe (but dont know where I heard this).

What most people think of as wheel spacers (especially in the Ricer and Low-rider worlds) are like shims, and are unsafe because they simply space out your wheel but do not take into account your lugs, so you end up with less lug engagement which can be unsafe. What we're talking about here are also commonly referred to as wheel adapters (because they were originally made to change lug patterns to be able to run different aftermarket wheels). As you can see in some of the pics, they actually bolt to the original hub and then have a new set of full-length lugs pressed through to the other side that you then bolt the wheel to. Perfectly safe, AS LONG AS you remember to check torque on BOTH sets of lugs on each wheel. Disadvantage is that the spacer/adapter must be at least as thick as the original lugs protrude, otherwise when you bolt them on, the original lugs will stick out past the spacer/adapter and prevent the wheel from mounting flush to its face.

Tyler,
Check out http://www.mcmotorsports.com/ . They make a lot of bling bling stuff, but from what I understand they make a ton of the wheel spacers that other off road vendors resell. They can custom do just about anything that you need or want for a reasonable price.
My experience with them was mixed. They goofed up the order the first time ( the hub-centric concept baffled one of their machienist a bit.) They also did not include lug nuts for the spacers. But the end product is extremely high quality. and I've had no other complaints. They also made a set for a buddy's D90 that turned out perfect the first time around at half the price of the other rover spacers on the market.
