Who’s had an alternator die on their 200? (1 Viewer)

Perhaps another use case for the sealed and water cooled alternator upgrade...

As cool (pun intended) as a water cooled alternator is, given the cost, and for my use, I think I'd just carry a spare OEM alternator, or two... or five.

Isn't changing the alternator hard to do? It is my impression that it is very hard to reach and wiggle out.

And how many miles were on it when it died?

mine was making noises at 135K and had it changed out then, just in case.

Funny you should say that. We have already started the development on these (due to pressure from our petrol brothers here in AU. IM the Distributor for them and we have them for the Y62/QX80 now as well. 200a and 150a versions. You wont EVER need higher as even running 4 batteries and some in the camper/van/trailer they wont charger any faster. I am looking for a USA distributor for this product though but when released i will sell them retail until the distribution channel is opened.
