too funny did you read anything above my post
question was why ? obviously i can guess "he wants to" as he wouldnt of mentioned possibly doing so. SO WHY ?
any axle, top load ( less likely), front load, etc.... At somewhere in the neighborhood of $7000 to build a set of 2.5 tons ( shafts, lockers, etc...) add $1000 for at wheel brakes. There is ALOT of alternatives available. SIMPLE look around.
stock 2.5s on 46+, just a matter of time/use. pack short sides complete, if both steer pack a TON of short sides complete. yes people do it, blah blah
people put 36+ on dana 30s as well, i dont reccomend either. simple.
If there wasnt a reason to upgrade there wouldnt be a specific aftermarket available for this axle. granted quantity available did help with this as well, and has more to do with this then anything else.
COG, i was actually looking at overall weight rather then COG, but now you mention it ever mock a rock on mini, stock frame. NOT exactly low LMAO. same can be said for lots of rock swaps though. weight vs worth ( strength, etc) is also a interesting point.
we been through this before, why do you insist on trying to ruffle my feathers everytime you see me post, i put my sig line UP for a reason. and yes I have ALREADY done this before, PLUS. i am smiling
Not sure where rockwell buggies VS my stuff came from ??? but i do find it entertaining. i am and have gotten rid of all that stuff specfic to buggy/rockwells.
he is doing a toyota so not a buggy as of yet, at least it sounds like as of now.
