I have to pull my motor trans and transfercase. Then remove my transfercase from my trans bolt it to my new trans then install the whole dam thing. Anyone wana make a group weekend out of this or something. hell i will buy few cases of beer:beer:

geee thanks guys

When are you looking to get this done? I don't know nothin' about swappin' no engines, but I can do what I'm told and I like beer.

Problem is that pretty much every one of my weekends from now until late April is already booked.

It just sounds WAAAAAAY beyond my abilities. However, I'm sure the club would be open to setting up a tech day on that. Then, all the smart and gifted guys show up...not just the mouth-breathers like myself.

Just give John Smith a PM on it....

Like the others who already posted, I'd be good at fetching and lifting but know nothing of what you'd like to do. I wouldn't mind helping, but weekends upcoming are unusually booked. If you set a date further out maybe folks can fit it in?

well lets see what we can do. What i realy need is somebody that has taken apart a fj62 transfercase befor and put it back together. Im a pretty compatent guy . I no my way alittle bit around cars trucks exc. I picked this motor and trans all accessorys 134,000 miles. got it for 600 for 600 the catch is the transfercase is not there. And in order to put my existing one onto the new trans it has to be totaly dissasembled then reasembled onto the new trans.
Im like WTF Makeing me wish i bought a dam chevy.
Does anyone no of anybody that has done the transfercase befor?

Theres no way i could move this monster of a motor and trans around doing the swap by my self. I have it in the back of my dads dakota. 6 and a half foot bed. we had to turn the motor diagonal to get them in bolted together. front of motor tuching front of the bed and the tailshaft if it was straight back would not be able to shut the tailgate. Add another 18 inchs or more for the transfercase. Looking at suicide by my self.

I thought i had a friend whos great with vehicles to help me. But hes showing his true friendship lately.
Two weeks ago in 7 hours me and him two motors out of chevy 4x4s and put one back in and drove around the block in 7 hours flat . His truck. Now im needing him he bein flakey on me the bastard.

o and when do i need it done . lolololol
last week,.lmao

it would be good learning experiance for everybody to see how the swap is done.

It really sucks you're left in a lurch like that. Some "friend". I can imagine the feeling on being "stranded". If I had any inkling I'd surely come help. Maybe some kind soul here with some experience will come to your aid. I'd still like to volunteer my services as a grunt/learner if my weekend is free.

i will keep you in mind. I never new the transfercase needed disasembled to be removed and stuff like that. A chevy got 6 bolts transfercase is sitting on the ground,

The only good thing about this is im able to still yank heeps out the mud with three gerbils and two hamsters under my hood. one cylender is dead.
