I think we need to start a campaign to get Toyota to notice us. Who and how should we contact them?

I remember talking to Nissan reps at one of the overland expo’s in Colorado years ago. I told them why I like Land Cruisers and they took notes. They really wanted to tap into this market and they did with the Armada Pro4X. But at the end of the day, we enthusiasts would like a Toyota, not a Nissan and not even a Lexus. If they can sell a GX and a LC250 (and a 4R) they can sell us a 300 series and a LX600.

Here’s how you do it. Buy a lx600, j250, gx550 and lx700h.

Read the post. Your commentary is not required nor appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
I read it. Doesn’t change my comment. Toyota is in the business of selling goods to consumers. The way you tell them that a vehicle is worth their time for our market is to vote with your dollars. They will say the same thing. Vote with your dollars that the Land Cruiser is an important brand and line in the USA.

Could I provide you a contact to the exec which is over Land Cruiser sales in the USA? Yep. Am I going to? Nope. They will say the same thing. Move on, thank you!

For the others, I will try contacting some people and if I have any success I will report back here.

Don’t buy into the nay sayers fellow enthusiasts, if Toyota can sell all of these models in Russia, Australia and the Middle East, they can sell them here!

Nope, you posted this on the public forum. You can be mad that the answer isn’t what you want doesn’t change the reality. I’ve heard your arguments thousands of times. If it made financial sense they would. Please do contact Toyota I’m sure they will hang on your every word. Tell them we want a 70, 76,78 and 79 while you’re there.

Oh tell them we want diesel too. Oh almost forgot front and rear lockers. Hmmm factory portals too.

You can, someone just has to Pony up and import the first one and go through the rigors of paperwork.

Probably bring in 50 or so and sell them for $170,000-200,000 if they are feeling generous.

Dear Toyota North America,

Despite the 250 series selling better than basically all years combined, indicating that America customers are in fact okay with a lighter duty platform, a small group of enthusiast on the internet think you wrong. Please change your mind at once.

Yep. Pretty much says it.
And hey, my favorite vehicle from the early and mid 200's was the GX470. The prado was and is a fine vehicle, more than what almost every USA driver needs.

Shoot, my LX700h is so far beyond my needs it's crazy.

As much as I agree and want the same things as the OP, i.e. the real 300 LC here in the US, it is really hard to fight against the numbers when they show US consumers are fine with a slightly improved 5th gen 4runner with a Land Cruiser badge. Not to mention also having the 6th gen 4runner as an added option to confuse the mix on top of the Sequoia. After all that mess, there is now really only space for one 300. Either the Toyota one or the Lexus one. Even during the 200 series reign, the LX variant sold more than the LC and since they already slapped the LC name in the Prado, the LX it is. I am just glad (and really surprised) that they gave us the 700OT and I am betting on it to be my last car purchase.

But would a White GR300 look nice next to my Onyx Black LX600 Fsport? And I just sold the Harley. My Green 1st gen Tacoma there or keep my hopes up for a 300?

Ok no more pic whoring…. But these treads go no where until someone pony’s up. Should I talk to some smaller private exotic car dealers?

Are you really going to sell the 200 ? 😲🤔. Asking for a friend 😂

Edit: yes. You are right. We have the 300 here. 😉. Just with other badge. 💪🏿

I’ll get buried in that car. When the Aztec dig me up in 5000 years they’ll document our civilization’s quality control and engineering off that car. Absolute 5000 lb tank where they spared no expense, putting a $2,500 LithiumIon start battery into it this week, saved like 15 lbs 😅.

Anyway, back on subject. Anyone actually look into this yet?

Hell yeah! Import a 300GR Sport and park there now and give us some more whoring! 😅

Man, I have never been so conflicted in my life when it comes to trading in a car. The thing is just so solid and unique. Struggling a lot, but it's a possibility. Deep down somewhere I wish I'd drive the OT and don't like it enough to justify letting the HE go. I can't possibly justify having both the 200HE and the 700OT (one is going to be sitting), nor I have the means to do so without being financially irresponsible with my family. I am in touch with some potential buyers, send me a PM if you would consider buying. The OT I have a deposit should be landing stateside by Nov/Dec, then I have to see how much the dealer offers me and calculate the tax savings of trading as opposed to just selling private.
