On my 1976 FJ40 I have what I think is the original white spoke wheels but my spare is the old Hub Cap style. Was this right or shouldn't they have all matched? Either all white or all hubs caps? Just wondering.

Depends on what you want to do with the truck. If you are doing a resto and want it original, then go with the OEM wheels and caps.

If you aren't and like the white wheels, keep them;) I have the white wagon wheels on my 40, I like em.

This thread is worthless without pics:flipoff2:

'76 should be the steelies with hub caps. I don't think the white wagon wheels appeared until the 80's sometime. IMHO, the steelies make the look of a "stockish" 40. If I could fit 12.5's, that's what I would have.

100% agree here. Why im looking for some stockers to widen to 10''

Will dont you want the sweet chrome sawzalls that came on the 45? :D

Yea, I just assumed the white was stock but never understood why my spare was the old hub. Not sure which way I'll go. Thanks for the info. Never knew in 76 the old hub was stock.
