:rolleyes: Need ideas to take out the chrome on the fj60 rims and painting white for my '87.. so i can do it myself in the weekends,also any pics on white 60 out there??

Just scuff them, prime with self-etching primer and rattle can white. It beats the hell out of the more costly methods and looks good with a few coats sanding between them.
 
Chrome is hella hard to paint, I flapped disc'd all the chrome off a FJ62 front bumper, TSP'ed, primed, and used a chip resistant paint from a locall painters supply. It still looked like s*** in 2 months. Dont know what it is about steel once it has been chromed? Maybe powder coat?
 
You need to get them sand blasted to remove all the chrome. If you are going to go to that much effort you may as well have a powdercoater do it and then have them powdercoated too.
