UPDATE:
- FYI the gas station at Eastgate closes at 7pm
- There is *probably* no rain forecast for the weekend from what I can tell, but it's showing ~30% POP and it has been raining, so there will be mud, and it will be cold. Dress appropriately and bring recovery gear.
- I'm going to overnight at Copper Creek Rec site Thu night, there's a "free" area keep going a bit past the paid sites you'll find me there, tan FJ Cruiser, eta 8pm.
- Garry (SquamSquatch) will meet us at the Hwy 3 trailhead (see pin drop above post) at 10:30am Friday morning.
- Our goal is to camp at Wells Lake Friday night and Lodestone Saturday night, returning home Sunday
- Comms on 146.460MHz, VA7CXP
- If you're coming up Saturday, there are 2 options:
- Option 1: Take Hwy 3 as above, catch up to us likely somewhere towards Lodestone (you get to do the full route, but it'll be slower going)
- Option 2: Take Coquihalla, and the newish Whipsaw "highway" route (in green below) which comes out halfway between Wells/Lodestone lakes (you'll catch up hours faster, but will miss half the fun of the Whipsaw)
