Belts are OEM and are ok, the whining is more of a drivetrain whine and not the typical belt whinne (higher pitch).
All indicators seem to point to a worn out pinion bearing, I guess I would have to take the third member out and take it to one of those drivetrain specialist in town.
The other issue, clunck could be related to the differential since the birfs and spindle bushing looked ok when I repack the birf and wheel bearing, but just for peace of mind and will open the spindles this coming weekend and recheck everything. I guiess all I need are the hub gasket and the spindle gasket and and the star washer for the pindle nut preload.
