I accidentally stumbled on a receipt for a pro-tools bender my wife carelessly left out. I assume I'll be getting it for christmas this year...

I dont plan to do anything major especially as I'm learning how to use the bender but I've heard other say that they liked bend tech software for ideas and planning... seems like they're are 4 different versions. Any recommedations? Waste of money? Fun to play with anyway?

can your wife be friends with my wife?

Call Chris (the owner/inventor of bendtech) and talk to him. First class individual, first class product. I have Bend tech pro and am just learning to use it, but so far its killer. Kinda nice to make something and look at it without having to waste materials to find out you need to change something because it didnt look right. Also, the coping patterns you can print to cope the tube with is one of the features I wanted when I bought the program. Im planning on tig'ing my wifes chassis together and these will make for nice tight seams and weld fitment.

Customer support is top notch BTW.

Chris

We (Redline Land Cruisers) where looking at Pro, or SE, Can it Provide completed Assembly Photos? we need a better way to show our cages, other than in the vehicle, or tacked together, and paint it for a photo.

Bend Tech is an awesome product. I've got the SE version and love it. It's super easy once you've spent a little time with it and makes bending almost idiot proof. It even has animated simulations that show the tube going through the bender so you can easily tell which way to rotate it for out of plane bends. The notch wrappers are nice too. They come in super handy on strange angle/ compound angle notches. Every time I use the software it impresses me more.

I will be over on the 26th to help you decide. what do you prefer Porter, IPA or??:flipoff2:

Hehehehehehe... I'm a IPA kinda guy. Do you think she'll notice if I buy some tubing and having it laying around before christmas?

"Oh honey, what a coincidence I just bought some tubing... now I can bend it." :)
