So ive got an 80 series landcruiser sitting on a mix of old and busted tires. Trying to decide what to replace them with and theres just so much choice out there.

I need a tire that is good in wet sticky nasty mud. Wet fields/woodland trails etc. It also needs to be good on the road in wet weather conditions. It probably wont see any sand or rocks.

I was looking at the goodyear duratracs but heard they can be a bit weak when it comes to wet roads. The maxxis bighorn was another i was looking at but my guy cant get those in the size i want (285/75/16)

What would you guys recommend? Truck is my DD so if possible it would be good if its not super noisy on road but im not too bothered about that. It is a work truck and its used quite a bit on wet muddy fields and in the woods so does need to be able to hand that kinda stuff.

thanks guys

Sounds to me like you're going to need a good mud tire and then compromise on the rest. It's usually a good idea to get a tire that works for your worst conditions, especially if you're in them alot, if you're going to run just one set of tires. There's plenty of M/T tires out there, so you'll probably get a lot of recommendations.

BFG M/T's
GoodYear Wrangler M/T's
Toyo Open Country M/T's
Interco Super Swampers TrXus M/T's are a great tire, and for MUD, look at Interco first.
IMHO, good luck, I have Toyo M/T's, but I have a soft spot for the TrXus M/T's.
