I bought a couple of chain saws at a garage sale the other day, I would like to have a backup for the husky so I bought them both. SO, what I got was an echo saw w/ 2 18" bars and case in good condition. The other is a Stihl with a 14" bar, approximately 5-6 years old and was used quite a bit more than the echo.
I do not have the model #'s on hand right now and not sure how much of a difference it would make as almost everyone would choose Stihl but I prefer to have the bar length for the larger logs.

What say Mud?

I'd say it would depend on the models. Plus, what are you going to do with it? Strictly as a backup for which Husky?

I have a 372XP with a 28" bar for my primary saw. Since we just moved to an area that I won't be cutting firewood, I sold my backup 365 special. I like the 28" bar so I don't have to bend over much. But I was cutting 6-8 cords of firewood per year and brushing my property, too.

OK, the model #'s are Stihl 015L and the Echo is CS345

I will be using my husky most of the time but when It needs a rest I will be using one of the abovementioned saws...

So, which one would you keep?

thanks D'an i do have a hard time getting the air filter, when it gets dirty the saw runs like s*** if i keep it clean the saw runs and idols fine. the last time i bought one it took them 4 times to get the right one, i ask them to get me 4 they only were able to get me one.

Sold the 015
