I have a BJ73 '88 FRP top

I was thinking to put locker in front and was thinking of lockright lockers so if you go in 4x4 you have locked front wheels which i think is better in mud and so to go through

can anybody advice me which model of lockright to use and maybe can help me out which diferentials or on the BJ73

looking forward to your posts

thx
Remy

Hi All:

Remy, Lockrite model 1630 for the Land Cruiser 8.75 inch differential would be correct for your BJ73, IIRC.

Yes, they will work well in mud, but may make the steering seem harder.

X2 for the ARBs front and rear

Times three on the ARB front and rear. Silly all your kids toys, hock the wedding rings, sell the children. That might be enough to purchase the ARB lockers, but not get them set up in your truck. While you’re waiting for your truck to get finished grab a piece of cardboard and go out to the corner of the street. Never regretted buying a Arby’Times three on the ARB front and rear. I did the Aussie lockers in the front of my LJ77 and was happy with the results.

No issues on road, did a good job during the mild wheeling I did over the summer.

Are you looking for a selectable or lunchbox type. I’ve had factory LSD’s, factory lockers and now ARB’s. They kinda all have their pros and cons.

Hello,

It is wise to make sure you have a full floating rear axle before considering lockers. The additional stresses involved can snap your axle shafts.

As mentioned above, all locker types have pros and cons.
