Where would you put lights on this bumper?

Just ordered the TJM rear bumper without the tyre mount... for now. Can't spring everything on the wife at once.

I've got some PIAA 510s on my poser rear bar now and want to transfer them over.

Or should I wait until I get a roof rack? That's a long way off since I can't park in the garage with a rack.

I don't have a hitch.

Cool bumper. The only decent place (IMO) to put lights on a rear bumper is to cut out a hole, weld a tab, and mount them flush. If you mount them on top, they will get in the way of the liftgate or when you are stepping on bumper, and if on the bottom, they will eventually get ripped off when you are off road.

Thanks. I definitely agree with you. They're on a switch now on the dash.

Have to look into them holes before I mount it.

For this particular bumper (or the Kaymar which also has rear lamps integrated into the bumper) I thought about either buying new lamps or modifying the existing so that I had a rear fog on the DS lamp and an aux. reverse flood-type lamp on the PS. Of course, I have no aftermarket rear bumper yet, so it's all conjecture.

If it were me, with that bumper, I'd pull the existing lights and install something in their place. The challenge would be finding something that would fit cleanly.

I, personally, don't see a need to keep the existing turn-signal lights in that bumper.

Those look like they could work. IIRC there was a thread a while ago about lights similar to those to fit into a TJM bull bar. Maybe I'll get 4!

Wow, these could work perfectly.

The present lamps in the bumper are housed in a small "box" with two bolts coming off the back of the lamp.
