Adding a turbo to a 1HZ (using a stock 1HDT intake crossover)... any suggestions/pictures of where best to install sensor for boost pressure?

TIA!

anyone? I thought there would be a boss on the crossover... where does a stock hdj81 sense boost pressure from?

I believe there should be a boost line output on the crossover that goes to the boost compensator. What does your crossover pipe look like?

I have that same crossover... was expecting to run from the nipple to the boost compensator and tap in again somewhere but from the diagram it looks like stock setup T's off that nipple to feed other sensor(s)? That should work for me I just need to find a little housing of some kind for the std 1/8 npt pressure sensor I have to sit it.

Yeah T's off to the boost switches and the boost comp. Boost/Overboost switches.

thanks, very helpful.

There's no boss on a 1hz crossover. It's a totally different path.

I drilled and tapped, similar to the 1hd-t crossover, but the metal is thinner than I expected

Thanks... I went ahead and did the same, on the rear wall of the crossover opposite the nipple - expect it should work fine in the interim but don't like the material thinness there, particularly in aluminum, so will probably have a bung welded in at some point.
