It's that time again. Stupid question time.

Where do you guys/gals surf for aftermarket parts for your 60s/62s? I've driven Jeeps for years and I'm used to websites ALL OVER THE PLACE for aftermarket parts for them. I bought this 62 to tinker with for awhile...and some mild off-roading. Where do I surf for parts/upgrades? Thanks in advance...Don

Ok. You really need to do a search for this. Google, not the forum. Lots of em out
there.

Do you have an issue of Toyota Trails? TLC parts/accessories vendors advertise there. And
there's a full page, 3 columns wide, IIRC, of businesses that support us. Try them first. Most
have websites.
If you don't have an issue of Toyota Trails, go to http://www.tlca.org/ and look into
membership. It's cheap. And you get 6 issues of the finest 4wheeling magazine available in
North America right to your door. :)
That's how I found out about many of the vendors I've dealt with.

try looking in the vendor section here. theres a few smaller places that have cropped up and seem to carry better parts and service. for oem, contact cruiser dan at american toyota- has abanner and believe in the vendor section. gives you good prices and great service.

if you like paying a lot for lesser quality parts, only buy from man-a-fre, spector off road and ccot :) they're not all bad, but they are expensive.

Look in the FAQ sticky thread in this same forum. There is a topic about this. :D

Thanks

I knew I'd get the dreaded "do a search rookie" answer. I've been searching google without much coming up for my 62. I'll go the way that has been suggested. The FAQ sticky is great...I've spent a lot of time there. We have that on my Jeep forum also. :D

Thanks for taking the time to answer...I'm considered "The wise old man" on my Jeep site...now I've become "The green newb" all over again! ;p Anyways, thanks again for taking the time,

Don

there is some wicked surf spots in north florida (Sebastion Inlet) (S.T. Augustine) fromt here, i would prob hit the Outter Banks in N.C. then head over to the west coast. and hit up man-a-fre, cool cruiser,spector,cruiserparts.net,arb, fj60.com wait fj60.com is on the east coast and cool cruiser is in texas prob not a whole lot of good swell there but welcome aboard.

surfs up,
-Al

When your searching keep it general. FJ62s were only made a few years so not as much comes up for them. Most of the Cruiser places are carrying more and more stuff for Fj60s and 62s.

I just got a copy of 4WD Monthly from Australia - WOW! 90% Cruisers and Nissan Patrols. The Jeep guys are the oddballs over there.

Welcome to the site!

I like fj60.com they have much more than what they have on the website, I have also ordered from JTO and Coolcruisers with good results. I only use SOR when I can't get it anywhere else.
