Got a Source Air tank for Christmas. Now I need to get it filled. Anyone in Bham or Anniston know where to get it filled?

I don't know for sure...but I was told that welding supply shops generally can do that stuff.

I hear that, but I've called around and run into several dead ends. Got one that said they would swap bottles but I'm got giving them my new bottle. They said they could send it off and get it back the next day which is a maybe but I'd rather just pull up and have them fill it and leave with it.

There is a place on w 10th street in Anniston (almost to the hood) I can't remember the name but its on the left if you are coming from Noble. It looks like a rail station but has a ton of cylyders stacked around the yard.

that doesn't happen anyway... it usually takes a couple of hours....
I'd say leave it and pick it up the next day.... you'd be picking it up this afternoon had you left it yesterday.... how many tires did you fill since then?

Continental filled it for me while I waited. I walked in and handed him the tank, he checked the certification, we walked over to the filling area and he filled it up. I don't know if that is how it normally goes, Eric M. would know better, he gets his brewing tanks filled there too.

That's the place then!
We don't have any place like that here. It's a drop off/pick up service so I'm told.

Continental Carbonics is great. I've even had him hydro test a tank and while he was at it he added a plastic valve cage for free. Quick, easy and cheap.

I think 5lbs is just under $9 and 20lb is around $16.

They will even sell used reconditioned tanks for $60. I've seen 5lb to 30lb tanks available and they are all $60.

Continental Carbonic is the bomb! - filled #10 bottle for $12.10 in less than 5 minutes.

Thanks for the tip on this place bhmmapping!

They do sell recond tanks for up to $60. Wish I'd have known and would have picked up one of them alot cheaper. They are all repainted silver.

WOW! very nice!

Next time someone is going, please let me know... I might have them pick me up a tank... depending on size...

I'll be going soon - my tank is actually a 10# and I want to move up to a 20# for my welder if you want to buy the smaller one.

how much for the child? ..... or the 10#...

How well do those work?? I was told they freeze up when filling all 4 tires. I ended up with an aluminum 20# tank from ebay for $70 and getting a 150psi regulator from source air.

I have no idea, I don't have one - I only use the co2 for the welder and I use the c25 regulator for that.
