I love the place.

I think the Shrimp/Grits are good, but not great.....but Julie loved them.

We have enjoyed it every time we have gone. Good atmosphere...service....

Hey Greg, think Risher... "Man I aint payin no $100 for for no damn steak that I can cook just as good on my own grill!" LOL.

I demolished some Shapley's last night... Hands down the best steaks in the state.

I'm an Ely's bone in filet or ribeye guy, myself. They are the only folks who aren't scared to Pittsburg my steak as rare as I want it.

Shapley's is strong, I rank them 1b, but they have yet to serve me my steak black and blue.

Order the 20 oz filet, rare... guarantee it will be blue in the middle.

Ely's is my #2 in the Jackson Metro area.. but their lack of selection of meats puts them a rung below Shapleys.

I have been to Ely's 2x and I doubt I will go back. I just don't like the feel of the place. Very generic. I feel like I am in a high end steakhouse in Shapley's but in Ely's it just doesn't feel right.

And Jes....open a restaurant then I will be able to say there is good BBQ in MS. Until then, show me. I have not been impressed anywhere yet.

We are using a local Hot Springs restaurant this year. I actually forgot the name....

greg knows the name well...
