my next door neighbor gave me his homemade 6'x10' utility trailer. he hasn't used it in years and doesn't own a truck or car with a hitch.

it needs the following -- this is where i need your help:

1. tires -- i can handle this
2. lights -- it's got nothing right now
3. wiring -- i'll check on what pin adapter i have for my hitch, but i'll need to wire the trailer
4. one of those little winch/lifter things to put on the tongue to raise and lower it and keep the tongue off the ground
5. maybe a box to weld/mount onto the trailer for tie-down straps, etc.

where should i go to get this sort of stuff? should i do it myself, or is this more complicated or difficult than it sounds. seems to me like some basic drilling for the wires and zip-tying the wires to the trailer. am i wrong?

thanks for your help.

Try E Trailer. This is where I got some LED lights for a trailer build I'm hoping to start this spring. Awesome shipping, I had the lights in about a week (to Calgary, Alberta). They have what appears to be almost anything you'd need for a trailer.
