Noticed a pretty strong smell of coolant with the engine warmed up, took a look at the overflow bottle and it was nearly completely empty. I've only had this truck for a month or two so still learning my way around this engine, I'm hoping the experts here can help me identify where the pictured coolant is leaking from. Is this possibly the water pump leaking behind the timing cover? The majority of coolant seems to be leaking down the round plastic cover at the top of the passanger side of the engine and getting thrown around by the serpentine belt. I know the plastic is part of the timing cover but not sure if that is where the water pump resides or if it's lower down the engine.
Where is this coolant coming from?
