I purchased a replacement fuel filter from CDan. The Factory Service manual tells you how to change it, but it doesn't tell you where the heck it is.....

Where is the fuel filter located?

under the intake, above and just aft of the oil filter. there are some past threads with directions on sliting one leg of it for easier instalation.

I did the inner bolt from underneath with a 24" extension. worked out good.

It is a bit hard to find...it's under the manifold on the DS of the engine. Best way to see it is through the DS wheel well. To remove/reinstall, you might find it easier to get at the two bolts from underneath - you'll need long extensions though. I had a helper hold the filter in place (reaching through the wheel well) while I wrenched from underneath. Also, a trick on reinstallation is to cut one of the holes to be a slot instead. Put the bolt in first (loose of course) then slide the filter onto the bolt. You'll see which hole to slot out when you do the job.
