Where do the transmissions pick up oil?

I have a question about the A343F and A750F transmissions. I am planning to make an oil flush through the radiator hoses and I am simply curious where the oil is being sucked up from the pan? I would like to make sure that there is as little residual oil as possible.

I have two approaches and wonder which one is best:

1. Drain the oil from the pan, refill, and then flush the rest through the radiator hose?

2. Flush straight through the radiator hose without draining?

If I knew the route of the oil from start to finish, it would make things easier. The second method is faster and wastes less oil, but do I get close to a 100% oil change?

OregonLC did a great write up on this roughly three years ago. I followed his steps and it was very easy. All of your questions should be answered in his thread.

Thanks. I saw the thread and this is exactly what I usually do: drain, refill, drain through hose and refill.

My question is more specific. I would like to know where does the tranny pick up oil which then goes to the radiator, and where does the returnin oil drip?

I am simply trying to maximize oil exchange without mixing it. Overkill in real life, but I am simply technically curious.

A343F Oil is sucked up through the 'strainer' and is forward of center of the trans pan...between the 3rd and 4th bolt of the trans pan (counting front to rear.)
It is centered side to side.
