Wanted Where can I find some tires?

I have an FJ80 and would like to get some used Goodyear wrangler M/T 285/75/16's. I am 17, so I don't have much money. Does anyone know where I could find some of these used for cheaper or does anyone have any they will be willing to sell me? (I doubt that)

Check out ebay and hope to find some local to you. If you want some cheaper MT's look at the Dunlops. Good luck.

eBay is a good bet.
Local tire shops might sell you some take-offs -- might be tough to find what you want, but it's worth a shot.
Check your local newspaper.
Try craigslist.org for your area.
The classifieds section here or on other 4x4 forums might be a good place to look.
Just keep looking...you'll find a good deal. You just have to be patient.

Where do you live? There might be someone fairly local to you who has something that they might be willing to part with.

Im in Charleston, SC and have some Bridgestone Dueler AT's in a 285 that I may part with. Im looking to go with something more aggressive. They have less than 5,000 miles on them.

How about a set of Bridgestone M/T's that are pretty worn for $50 in N.E. Atlanta

Again check your local 4x4 web sites. I know thre are 2 or 3 in the Atl area. I frequent them often. 16" are always harder to find. (I found a set of 75% stock take offs from a Rubicon for $200, but they were 16" and had 15" rims.) I looked and looked for 16" rims and couldnt find anything at the time. This was all about 2 years ago. But they are out there. BE PATIENT! Is the best advice I can tell you. And to be honest, I have seen a few sets on Ebay, but not many great deals that were anywhewre close to me. ( With gas as high as it is they better be with in 2 hrs fo your house. Or shipping will be cheaper!)
