As I stated buying Saturday for 76500

I had lower offers from out of state but they called me back with 78000. I caved. But it's a damn nice car. I just wish it didn't have so many gizmos. I can do without all the electronics....

I paid $75,991 plus TTL for a silver 2016 with floor mats at Autonation Toyota in Austin. Had to wait forever for the silver color.

I tried negotiating with AutoNation in Arapahoe outside Denver since they had at the time both Gray & Silver LC200s on the lot. Their best price was a lot higher at $81,570.

I got the impression that competing dealers weren't interested in releasing LC200s to one another.

I think that's the best price I've seen. I gat low as $72k but it was a demo. 76k is the best price I got but it was out of state.

It's odd, I looked at a 2016 just to make sure I would be happy with a 2013 and honestly 3 of them got sold right from under me. I think the 2016's are receiving more popularity since they are more luxurious looking than the one it replaces.

That's why in some cases dealers aren't dropping their pants like they used to because 5k off sticker insulted me when I was negotiating.

I did a autotrader search for used 2016 cruiser's and 10 are available nationwide but the pricing is just stupid. You would be better off buying new unless you can get them under 72k...

Jt look on cars.com. Way more than 10 2016 lc for sale. And in my you should have any issues with pricing. On cars . Com always a dealer there with great pricing.

I was talking about the used market. But wow that's interesting there is that many 2016's out there.

Why buy used to save 4K?

For some of us peasants, $4K is nothing to sneeze at... ;)

Also... Would avoid those bulky screens on the seats...

Mark that wasn't what I was saying. Up top someone mentioned only ten 2016 lc and doesn't make sense to buy used unless under 72k. I was responding to that. I paid 76k for a new one. I wouldn't pay 72k for a used one. I would need to save a bunch more than that. I agree on buying used if a financial savings but mostly I find there isn't a huge difference. I would to save 10k or more depending on miles etc but for a few thousand no way. These are expensive trucks to begin with

Yea I'm a penny pincher so I would buy used to save 4K more. It all depends on what your looking for. if you plan to hold on to it for a LONG time, used would make more since but if you trade out frequently then you would more than likely buy new.

I work hard so when it comes down to 4K I will look at both sides to see what makes more sense for me. now I would have bought a new one for a bigger gas tank!:flush:

;) Absolutely hear ya on your rationale!
I was just giving a tip-of-the-hat to those looking to economize in any way they can.

This is a unique forum because we have such a variety of buyer types here. Some are buying LC's as 2nd, 3rd or even 4th vehicles and have options. But for others, it's a real stretch to afford...plus mods, etc.

For me...I tend to think of price & discounts in terms of upgrades one could buy with the savings. I can't imagine ever buying a new Cruiser...but for others, new is the way to go. When I see the a $4k difference, I instantly think: Hmmm... Bumpers, or winch, drawers, etc. ;) Truth is, anyone who can afford even a used LC is clearly economically blessed...so we're all dealing with "1st world problems" here no doubt.

No complaints here. I love my LC and feel lucky to own/drive one.

Agree 100%. No mods in my near future and truthfully if I was going to mod and take off-road I would look for a much older one. Hate to be the one to scratch or dent an expensive truck lol.

To each their own and glad I found this group. Love the truck and the mods and how everyone seems to really use the trucks.

I saw some show the other day that was reviewing a new Range Rover, and the Range Rover spokes person said something to the effect that all though there RR are extremely capable of going off road, that most often it's that 3 or 4th owner that finally puts that capability to use.
I have to imagine that same scenario, is quite often true for the LX/LC's as well.
