Where am I?

no, I'm back already, was a short trip.

It's funny, there really were a lot of Defenders on Moorea, I'd say 2x or 3x as many as Toy 70s. Especially for such a small place, and not really any wheeling to be done. A few short dirt roads going to houses up the hillsides it seems but that's likely all there is.

Must be some agressive LR dealer in Papeete. And the folks being used to them. The mechanic told me they had most common parts (brake pads, filters and the like) available in Tahiti. For other stuff, it takes a month or 2 to get the parts of course.

Quite a few Toys. A fair number of Nissans also, IIRC, but mostly pickups.

The island is very nice of course. Not sure I could live there very long though. Pretty small.
