Talked to a guy this weekend from Atlanta that met up with some rover guys a couple months ago at a rally in Sylva NC. Anyone wheeled up there before? That could be fun and could potentially allow wives to be dropped off in Asheville for the day.

I bet it's a bunch of gravel forest roads if i were to guess, that's why the rover guys like it so much.

Must at least be a Starbucks there, and a wine store. Probably a golf course to wheel to.

You laugh but Harris Regional now has a Starbucks in it. I sh*t you not.

I've heard mention of it. It may be the Roy E. Taylor orv. atvs and motorbikes only though i think. http://www.cs.unca.edu/nfsnc/recreation/tayloratv.pdf

Here is a good map of orv's

Google Maps

but trucks aren't allowed on the roy taylor ORV park. I went on those trails one night about...oh, 3:00am when i was a freshman at WCU. Got stuck way up high and had to walk back down to campus. Came back the next day with friends to get the truck out and the rangers were waiting for us. :censor::doh:

Def no trucks on that trail- I took a polaris ranger up there and was scraping the sides of the trail all day. atv and dirt/trail bike only.

Careful on the Rover guys. I was one for 10 yrs before crossing over. Anyway, we did a bunch of wheeling in sylva. Trails are easy but if your into the heavier stuff there are a couple of alternate trails that are testy. Above anything the sylva trails are great if you are into camping. Some of the best views around.
