I will be heading to the rock quarry after, or before the meeting at the movie manor.

This is also a good time to find out about more trails in the area and get a official USFS map.

USFS sets meetings on motor vehicle use maps
Posted: Friday, Jul 11th, 2008

MONTE VISTA—The Rio Grande National Forest (RGNF) will hold four open house-style meetings to allow the public to view and comment on draft motor vehicle use maps.

The maps show all the forest service roads and trails open to the public for motorized use.

They will provide the basis for enforcing RGNF motorized travel regulations, so the public is asked to review the maps at the open houses and provide input on the accuracy of the data.

All open houses are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Dates and locations follow:

• July 15 at the Conejos Peak Ranger District, 15571 CR T5, La Jara.

• July 21 at the Saguache Community Building, 525 7th St., Saguache.

• July 23 at the Movie Manor Restaurant and Lounge, 2830 W. Hwy 160, Monte Vista.

• July 28 at the Creede Community Center, 13 FSR 503, Creede.
